A Star On Top

Good Morning,

It's a beautiful day here in the south west after a few days of blustery wet conditions.

I was so happy on Sunday, I woke up to find I had won the Ribbon Girl October colour challenge and now I have two vouchers to spend at the Ribbon Girl and Lili of the Valley, two of my favourite places to shop!!! Happy, Happy, Happy.

Anyway after my little excitement outburst, on to my card. Today I am posting another Lili of the Valley christmas image A star on top.

I have heat embossed snowflakes onto the base layer. The self coloured sleigh stamp is also a Lili of the Valley stamp as are the little tags.

For sparkle I have added stickles glitter glue and put glossy accent over the top on the tree baubles. The little present charm is one from the Ribbon Girl.

Thank you for looking.

Boy Sledging

Hello,

Quick post today to share another of my christmas creations.

I have used LOTV Boy Sledging, another lovely cute image from Lili of the Valley.

I have used Maja Design It's Christmas Time papers and the red card is just from my stock.
The large mat is cut using a Go Kreate die.The snowflakes are  mixture of Doo Hickey and Marianne. The mitten die is a memory box die.

I have used a spellbinders label die for the image, adding shabby white frantage over the image to look like snow. The sentiment is also a LOTV stamp. Glamour dust has been used for the snow under the sledge.

Colouring has been done using both Prisma coloured pencils and copic pens.

Thank you so much for looking and please leave

comments, I love reading them.

Have a good afternoon.

Sledging Buddies

Good Morning,

It's been an absolute age since I posted anything. Apologies. Today I have made a card after looking at the Ribbon Girl October colour challenge. Not sure if it was the cup cake or the colours which grabbed my attention!!!! I wonder which lol.
Also entering for Crafty Little Fairies Christmas in October, Crafting all Day Creations "Here Come the Boys"

I have used Lili of the Valley Image Sledging Buddies. Love all their christmas stamps, can't keep buying though!! The papers are Maja design It's Christmas Time. Gorgeous colours. I have used quite a few dies on this card. The snowflake border is Memory Box Frostyville wreath, the Poinsettia is a La La Land  die, the mistletoe is  a Doo Hickey and I think the other one is a Marrianne creditable ( but can't guarantee) as is the holly die. The sentiment is also a LOTV stamp.

I  have added lots of sparkle to the poinsettia and the snowflake border. ( Can't resist of bit of sparkle!!)

I am going to enter this for the Ribbon Girl October Colour Challenge and will hunt to see if there are any other challenges that match the design.

Thanks for looking, have a lovely Sunday.

New Home Card

My last card today, it's a new home card. I have used much the same idea as the shabby chic birthday card. Using a painted piece of cardboard as the backing layered on top of some jute ribbon.
The twine has been wrapped around the top layer of card. The mini envelope contains a stamped house which was die cut using papertrey ink stamps and dies. The gorgeous little heart tag is also from Papertrey ink. I love their stamps and dies ( trouble is quite expensive to have shipped over here!! )
Again the little tag behind the cardboard is cut  using a punch using Pink Petticoat french script paper.

I love pale turquoise and cream together. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and thanks for stopping by.

Shabby Chic Pink

Hello again,

Another card which has proved very popular with the family to send to friends etc. It has a shabby chic effect to it. I have now made several in different colours to keep in stock for friends and family to send.

The backing is jute ribbon bought from a local sewing shop in town. The card has been painted with white dabber paint from Tim holts and pink paper ribbon has been wrapped around the cardboard. The mini envelope has been cut from a punch in Maja design spring basics paper. The little tag has been punched from Pink petticoat french script paper. Again the little daisy has been cut from a poppy stamp Daisy bubble border.

This card seems to look good in any colour. Particularly with Maja design papers, so pretty.

Thanks for looking.

Have a great day.

A Birthday Card for My Daughter.

Hello,
It's been so long since I posted a card but I spend a while this morning doing the LOTV blog hop and it  made me realise I need to get back into it. Such lovely inspiration on their blogs.

Anyway I have several cards to post so here's the first. It's my daughters birthday on the 8th August and this is the card I have made for her. She is going to be on holiday for her birthday so thought this Saturated Canary image was just perfect. It's called pack light,  something my Daughter is not so good at!!!

The image has been coloured with Prisma coloured pencils. The Happy birthday tag is a magnolia one which has been embossed using a cuttlebug folder. The tiny envelope is a punch and the little daisy on the envelope has been cut out from a poppy stamp border die called daisy bubbles. The heart banner is a LA LA Land die and the papers are gorgeous Maja design.
I hope you are all having a good day and if you have a chance pop over to Lili of the Valley and get a sneek peek of their gorgeous new Christmas stamps due out on Thursday.

Emma's Present

Good Morning,

I am sat out in the garden posting this card!! Can't believe spring is actually here.
Hope you are all well.
This card I have made for the Ribbon Girl April colour challenge. The picture to be used as inspiration I just had to print off and stick into my ideas book, such a pretty picture.

I have used LOTV Emma's presents stamp. The papers are from Nitwits Always Forever too. The image I have coloured with Prisma coloured pencils. The flowers are from wild orchid crafts, Carnation, roses and gipsophilia. The little sentiment tag and the butterfly are Magnolia. I have also used a pretty cream lace to go across the centre of the card.

What a fab challenge, I don't know who wouldn't be inspired by such a lovely picture.

I hope you like it.

Buttons, Bows and Polka Dots.

Hello,

Back again with another baby card, this time for the Sweet Stampin Challenge. Buttons, Bows and Polka Dots.

Just  about all my favourite things in one card!!!

I love making baby cards. The pretty backing paper is Nitwits Always and forever.  I have used a marrianne creatable die for the pram and a fancy oval die for the background. The flourish is a Cheery Lyn. The cute little heart tag die is a magnolia one that comes with a bigger tag. The buttons are some I have in my stash and the vintage seam binding is from the ribbon girl.
I have added two tiny butterflies and sparkly stars to the corner of the card. Oh and for the Polka Dots I used Maja Spring Papers inside the card.

Thanks for looking.

Close Your Eyes.

Good Morning,

What a beautiful day!! Sun and everything.

Today I am showing you a card that I have put together for the Lili's Little fairies challenge.
The stamp is called close your eyes from Lili of the valley. I am entering it into the above challenge and also the totally gorjus spring colours challenge.

I have again used half acetate for the front of the card. The papers are Maja Spring basics and Melisssa Frances.
The cloud die  is a new joy crafts one and the border along the centre of the card is a poppy stamps one. The stamps are a mixture of Marianne design and LOTV.
The fence die is one I use all the time and comes from magnolia. The little butterfly is out of the Maja Spring papers and I have gloosy accented it and used stickles glitter glue underneath. I saw this demonstrated on Nixe-Moni's gorgeous blog.

I have coloured the image using a mixture of distress markers and prisma colour pencils. Around the edge of the circle I have used metalic gilding wax, which I have to say I found a little messy!!! It is the first time I have used it though.

Have a great weekend

Hugs  Karen x

The lovely thing is you can colour them yourself. I have used distress markers and prisma coloured pencils.

I have used acetate for the front of the card. The clouds are a joy crafts die. The flower border across te centre of the card is a poppy craft die.

The sentiment has been printed on my mac and then embossed with a cuttlebug swiss dots folder.

The papers are Maja design spring basics and the surround for the image is Bazill basic card stock.

Ideas and things I Love file

Good morning,

Today I don't have a card to show you but something else I have been working on. For a while now I've been looking at the smash books. I like the idea of being able to keep all my inspiration and ideas in one easy to go to place.

I bought the file and insets at Paperchase a while ago.

I have decorated the front cover with a pretty Melissa Frances paper and added lots of little embellishments that I have collected over time.

Inside I have different sections like home decor, recipes, shops I love and a family section fro photos etc.
I love collecting pretty pictures from home magazines and the like just to look at every now and again.

Also  I have a plastic wallet inside where I keep web addresses etc for my favourite places that I purchase card bits from i.e backgrounds that I can purchase and download and digi prints.

All in all I'm really pleased with the look of the file and now have my own record of home decor ideas card ideas and just pretty things to look at.

Hope to have a card for you to see soon.

Hugs

Good morning,

I have a card today which I am going to enter into the Lili's Little Fairies " All Stitched Up" Challenge , The Ribbon Girl April Challenge "just add flowers' and Cheery Lynn Design " Back to Nature"

I have used LOTV Emma Pot Plant stamp.

I have painted it with Distress re-inkers. The backing paper is a Maja Design vintage Spring and the stitched mats are from Nitwits.

I have used several dies. The fence is a magnolia die, the doily is Cheery Lyn and the little birdhouse is a Marianne creatable. I love the die running sown the edge of the card which is a poppy stamp die.
The large tag with the ribbon attached is a magnolia.

I hope to make another card to post today but I'll have to see what I can come up with.
