Christening Day

Good Morning,

Today I have a Christening card to share with you. It's a sort of white on white design with a few natural colour accents.

The card is a white base with a stone colour mat and then the top layer is white. I have put white ribbon across the centre of the card and cut out the name using my cricut machine using Plantin schoolbook. The little heart buttons are attached using natural button twine.

The gingham paper on the top of the box and inside is from Pink Petticoat. It is actually a lot paler in real life, it's a stone colour but has come out quite dark in the photos.

The sentiments are printed on my computer.

The card is presented in a box with a sentiment on the top of the box.

I've had a busy weekend but really hope to be back with more posts this  week.

Lili of the Valley Bath Time

Good morning,

It's a very frosty but lovely morning here.

I didn't post yesterday but today I have a card made with another Lili of the Valley stamp.

It's the bath time stamp and I've used distress inks to paint the image. Inside the front of the card is an insert for printing details of a birth or you could add a birthday message instead.

It's just a quick post today but I'll be back soon.

Hugs

Spring Bunny

Hello,

I'm posting a gorgeous Lili of the Valley card today.

It's a stamp from their new spring release called Butterfly Meadow. I may even enter it in a couple of challenges, which I've never done before!!! I'll see if I'm brave enough when I've finished posting.

I love the peach colours of this card. The papers are Nitwits Thimbles collection. The sentiment is Lili of the Valley's every day sentiment stamp. I have coloured the image with Distress markers.
Just a quick post today but I hope you like it.

It has been entered for Lili's Little Fairies February challenge!!

Shabby Chic Flower

Hello,

Another quick card to make and a very simple design.

Again the base card is Stampin Up sahara sand and the mat beige card that has been distressed and ripped a little. The ribbon this time is a metallic raffia ribbon.

The tag is a Magnolia tea tag and has been edged in Baja Breeze ink from Stampin Up. The flower has been made from my waxed sealing kit and placed on some cheese cloth. The tiny butterfly on the tag is a Stampin Up Sizzix Embosslit. Inside the card I have lined it again with a Pink Petticoat Paper.

I need to add more inside so there is s place for writing your message.

Mother's Day

My next  card is quite a plain one but I think quite effective. I go quite a lot for muted colours. This really is a quick card to make and has a shabby chic look to it.

The card base is made from sahara sand stampin up card and the mat is the beautiful Maja design summer vintage range. The top layer of the card is a beige card which I have distressed using the Tim Holtz distressing tool. The little tag is a Magnolia tea tag which I've attached to the seam binding with button twine.
The little flower at the top is made using a wax sealing kit with metalic pearl wax. I'm not sure if the inside is very clear to see but I've used peach polka dot paper from Pink Petticoat.

Butterfly kisses

Hello,

Today I have some more posts for you to look at. The first one is a Butterfly design in aqua and beige.
The background I printed on acetate and the big spot design is from Pink Petticoat. I love their papers and must admit I have downloaded most of them from their fab sight. The grosgrain ribbon and cheesecloth were from my stash. The aqua mat has been embossed with a floral design. The gorgeous butterflies are stampin up embosslits. The leaf flourish is from Cheery Lyn dies.
I have also added two cute little tag dies from Quickutz with a made for you charm all tied up with some button twine which I purchased from Wild Orchid.

This card really makes me think of spring.

I hope you like it.

Be back soon with another one.

A Baby girl

Hi,

Thought I ought to show you the Baby girl version of the acetate card. I haven't quite finished this one, as you can see there is a big gap on the front of the card where the tag goes with birth details.

I will use a Magnolia tag for this purpose. As with the baby boy card the greeting is written on the back of the card, so as to leave the front for just the design.

I would happily make my baby cards and personalise them for individuals, so if anyone is interested please don't hesitate to contact me.

I need to take a lot more photos now but need to find a plain background for them to go against.

If anybody has any useful tips or comments about my posts please, please do comment. I will very gratefully receive them.

Thanks for looking.

Good Morning,

Just a quick post before I take Molly out for her first walk of the day.

The start of the weekend!!! Lots of crafting time. I hope to put 2 or 3 cards up today and here is the first one.

A pearl wedding card. Quite a simple design but I think it worked ok.

I'll be back later with a few more creations.

Have a great weekend. xx

Pinks and beiges.

Hello,

Just a quick note to tell you about the card at the top of my Blog which I forgot to mention in previous posts. I made it using the gorgeous skiing stamp from Lili of the Valley. I have coloured the image with Copic markers. The star tag and the banner are both Magnolia dies and the small ski and pole dies are quickutz. It was my sons birhtday on the 10th Feb and it did bring a smile to his face when he opened it.

It's a beautiful day down here in Somerset. Sun is actually shining!!!

Today I've got a card that would be really nice for a baby girl or maybe a little girls first birthday. I've left space for a tag or maybe a number 1. I love these colours together, I think they look so pretty.

The beautiful butterfly is a magnolia die which I'm a massive fan of and the pink ribbon is seam binding, which I'm using a lot at the moment.

I'm looking at ways of listing the different dies etc that I use on my cards and as I post more I will improve on the information I give.

The image is a digi stamp that I downloaded a long while ago. Such a cute image. I have once again coloured the image with copic markers.

Thanks for looking

Be back soon xx

Baby Boy Card

Baby Congratulations

Hello,

I'm back again, really enjoying this Blog lark!! Today I have a baby boy card to share with you.

My niece had a baby boy in January and I made them this card and personalised it.

The card base is acetate and the papers are nitwits Petal fresh papers which you can now get in a pad from Lili of the Valley. Very pretty fresh papers.

The tag and the fence are Magnolia dies.

I was really pleased with the finished product and it was easy to personalise too. The greeting was written on the reverse of the card.

I hope you like

Graduation Cards

Hello again,

Getting quite excited now as people are actually looking at my Blog !!! even though there is only one post, Fab!!!

So I thought I would show you the cards I made for my two children on the occasion of their graduation from University.

I made the cards in their own university colours. The Caps were cut on my Cricut machine and the tags are a sizzix die. I also made boxes for them so they can keep them for years to come.

I have lots more cards to post so I'll be back soon.

Thanks for looking

My first Post

My Very First Post.

Hi, my name is Karen and I've been making cards for a few years now but have only really taken it more seriously in the last 6 months. My Christmas cards this year were mostly made with the lovely Lili of the Valley rubber stamps. I've become a real fan of their gorgeous images.

I used copic markers to colour the images. I was really pleased with the results and the recipients seemed to like them too.

I will be posting lots more cards over the coming weeks and hope to improve the photos too.

I really hope you like this blog, I am really new to blogging and I'm sure I will improve over time.

If anybody has any pointers or helpful hints for my blog, please leave your comments, they will be very gratefully received. I follow some amazing blogs and hope to reach those standards..............eventually

Thanks for spending the time to look.

Hugs Karen
